DEFINITION : - The Term Pharmacopoeia Comes From The GREEK Word 'PHARMAKON' Meaning A Drug And 'POEIA' Meaning To Make.

Pharmacopoeia is a legal and official book issued by recognized authorities usually appointed by the government of each country. It comprises of medicinal substance, formulae, together with their description and standards.

Pharmacopoeia were developed to improve and maintain the standard and quality of medicinal preparations.
