The Official beginning of INDIAN PHARMACOPOEIA was the publication of BENGAL  DISPENSARY in 1894. The Bengal Pharmacopoeia appeared in 1844. The first official Pharmacopoeia was PHARMACOPOEIA OF INDIA, LONDON which appeared in 1868.It contained drug official in BP (BRITISH PHARMACOPOEIA) in 1864 and some indigenous drugs.
